iCaughtUPro for iOS Demo

I've just uploaded this video few minutes ago. 310MB takes only 10 minutes to upload. The magical of internet.

iCaughtUPro is a jailbreak app that allows you to track your iDevice when someone who has stolen your iDevice tries to unlock or shut down. It captures the person's face using front facing camera and an email will arrive to you shortly.

iCaughtUPro is available on the BigBoss Repo for $2.50. But obviously I'm using a crack version just for demonstration purpose only. Buy the developer a drink!

May Updates

Hmmm... My last update, i think it's on February. It's time for another of my blah-blah update.

Got new iPad!
Ohhh yesssssss, my dad finally saw the necessity of buying a tablet, so Apple has launched the new iPad for Malaysia on 20th April 2012. I did went to machines to check it out the next day. Then my dad concluded that he wanted to buy one, and i thought he'd take the cheapest version. But he didn't. All he got was 32GB WiFi + 4G version, which costs around RM2199. Then he bought a case which costs RM288 and a RM123 screen protector (so expensive dammit). We bought on Wednesday because previously Machines Bukit Tinggi ran out of stock for white colour iPads. It features a Quad-core A5X processor, 1GB RAM, a 2048 X 1536 resolution "Retina" display, 4G LTE, 5MP iSight camera and 10-hour battery life.

Launch of Galaxy S III
Alright. Have to say that people do make mistakes. Poor me. Remember my Galaxy S II 16GB Black? Well, it's officially outdated. Samsung has launched the new Galaxy S III on May 3rd, 2012, 7pm at London. If you still haven't read my previous post about it, and haven't even saw it here you go.
The new Samsung Galaxy S III
Well, let's talk about the spec, which is important. It is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor (my S2 is only 1.2GHz dual-core, so i expect a speed of lightning :D). Still the same 1GB Ram (0.91GB to be precise), same old 8MP rear camera with added Burst functionality, same 1080p video recording, same 2MP front camera. The screen has been enlarged to 4.8 inches with a 720 X 1280 HD resolution, and SuperAMOLED screen.

And the Galaxy S III actually comes with a lot of functions. Now it has LED notification light, SmartStay, S Beam, S Voice, etc. It's running the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware.

Nah, I won't upgrade. It does look abit ugly, especially the camera part! Looks like Corby 2! Anyway, I hate the design and I won't upgrade.

Quitting job and heading for uni!
Yes, my courses commence on 28th May, which means I have to quit my job. It's getting boring lately, because a new girl came. She took over all my jobs and I just wished i can sleep all day.

That's it. Stay tuned for more.

Samsung Galaxy S III Launched

So, the Samsung Galaxy S III was launched at London at 7pm local time (2am GMT+8). If you haven't seen the design, it looks like this:

The Next Galaxy - Samsung Galaxy S III
The features about this phone:

  • Exynos Cortex-A9 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor
  • 1GB Ram (same as S2)
  • 4.8" Super AMOLED screen (720 X 1280 pixels) ~306 pixel/inch
  • Some regions with LTE networks
  • Internal & external storage up to 64GB
  • DLNA
  • 8MP Rear Camera, Auto Focus, LED Flash, 2MP Front Camera
  • S Voice (Samsung's version of Siri)
  • Smart Stay eye tracking
  • 50GB Free Dropbox Storage
  • 2100mAh battery

Well, I think it looks ugly. The front is made up by combining Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy W for the home button. The rear, is inspired by Galaxy 5.

Anyway, here I got the Galaxy S III Unpacked keynote, enjoy!

Samsung Galaxy S II Static Boot Screen Installer

Recently, I wrote a very simple installer, the Samsung Galaxy S II Static Boot Screen Installer. What this app does is to install the customized Static Boot Screen into rooted Galaxy S II.

<< This confirms working for: SGSII I9100, I9100G. Still no response from other variants, or other models. >>

February Updates

So, I'm currently working with my mum, and I think I'll work till May, coz the ADP program at Taylors will commence at May, so phew. Currently I've passed my undang test, so Saturday going for Amali. 6 hours of boredom again. I think I'll load some movies to my phone and bring my earphone along. I think this Amali thingy is going to be better than undang. What else? TM Installer is coming to my house to install Unifi @@. So hope when I'm back from amali, can enjoy internet with lighting speed. But i got the cheapest package so... lets see.

Update 19/1/2012

YAY! Finally got the time to sit down and TYPE!

1) Finally, dad bought me the FIRST smartphone ever in my family. I wanted the Galaxy W but he bought me the Galaxy S II instead! As I don't have a cam here to take a photo of my darling SGS2, I'll just take one from the web.

Anyway, quite satisfied with it. But the battery drains like hell. No idea WHY, but all SGS2 and SGN users claimed that this is actually normal. NORMAL?
Another drawback - few weeks after buying this phone, I still can't type like how I type with my previous phone (in my drawer now waiting for repair). Yes it does have T9 keyboards but that doesn't do well either.
And, i got the i9100G version, instead of i9100. So what's that? Basically the i9100G have better processor that does not overheat easily and better battery performance. WHAT? Better battery performance? So if the battery in this phone has done so badly, what about the previous versions? DAMN!

Some photos of my phone with the cover i bought from eBay.

Anyway, next.

New year, new inspirations.

Well, i celebrated new year's day at Genting this year, but, the first day of 2012, first time and first thing all of us did was got cheated. Genting "delayed" and "delayed" until "cancelled" the "firework show" due to "bad weather". So, we couldn't wait till 8PM the following day so we just went home in the afternoon.

Happy 2012 everyone! Although 2012 is not a good year (stock market expected to get worse, more and more people lose their job, housing price boomed down, crime rate increases, and most importantly, the end of the world [really?]), but still, it's a long way to go.

Ciao! BRB with more news & stuff.
