Updating to iOS 5 - the easier way

The new iOS 5 was launched last thursday for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4th & 3rd, and iPad 1 & 2. As we know, the new iOS 5 comes with 200+ features, which made everybody insane about it. Some just bought a developer license for it, some just get it in some way without a dev account. Developers start to make their apps ios5-compatible. Hackers start to exploit ios 5 and jailbreak it.
So when the final version finally released, millions (probably more!!$ of iDevice users around the world eager to get the new iOS 5. I'm, of course, one of them. But, after reading posts by people who updating their device and their complaints, which include very slow network speed and stuck at backup process. I then performed the following way to get ios 5 in my iPod touch in no time.
NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING WAY MIGHT CAUSE YOU TO LOSE ALL YOUR DATA & STUFFS. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

(Note: Recommended for iPod touch and iPad users only. iPhone users, you can try if you want to take risk of losing your contacts unless you've synced with Outlook or iTunes.)

Before that, please make sure you've iTunes 10.5 installed. If you dont have, you can Check For Updates or go to http://www.apple.com/iTunes to download.

1. Open your browser and go to the link below:

2. Under the "iPod touch, iPhone, iPad & Apple TV" section, choose your device and generation and the iOS version 5.0
3. Download the IPSW. Recommended to use other browser except for Internet Explorer. It may take around 2-3 hours as it's more than 700MB.
4. After downloading, connect your device to your computer and have a last FULL sync and backup with iTunes.
5. After that, hold down "Shift" button and click "restore". Select the IPSW you've just downloaded and it'll start unpacking. This process will take approximately 5 minutes.

Or, if you don't want the risk to lose all your data, you can connect your device to the computer and when a pop-up asking you to update to iOS 5. Click "Download and install". iTunes will automatically perform a backup.

Enjoy your iOS 5!
